February Mini-Sessions

Hey guys and gals, I have a little something special for everybody out there, cuz who doesn’t need some photos taken? I’m offering some mini-sessions which are a little lighter and cheaper than a full session, but you still get some awesome pics. Get pics of your family, your kiddos, your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, headshots or what have you. Check out the details and schedule below:

What’s a mini-session consist of? A 45 minute portrait session for up to 5 people, all images loaded to an online gallery, 15 of your faves on a disc with a copyright release (personal printing rights) for a $150. Please email Cristi at cristi@littrellphotography.com to reserve your spot. Refer a friend and get a free 8×10 too.

Dallas Photo Shootout

A few weeks back, Jared another photographer here in Dallas lined up some models for a fun little meet-up that he called a “shootout”. What’s a shootout? I didn’t know either, but I knew it sounded like fun, so I was in! So, a dozen or so of us Dallas Photogs got together to shoot a couple that is recently engaged for a dozen or so different points of view. I knew we had a bunch of available light shooters, so while I did shoot some available light, I decided to try and use more light and provide a little different look and hopefully I achieved that. Some of the other photographers in attendance were: Allison Davis, Amy Karp, Andrea Crosswhite, Catie Ronquillo, Celina Gomez, Jared Rey, Jason Huang, Jason Anderson, Magaly Abbott, Stacy Reeves and Stephen Brown if you’d like to see their blog-worthy pics as well. It was a ton of fun and I met some new people, even learned I had a blog stalker, so I guess I need to blog more often and make my one stalker happy! Enough babble, you’re here for the pics!

Meet Tod and Ashley!

Now I must mention again, a dozen or so photographers are all shooting pictures at the same time, so imagine the paparazzi shooting an engagement and you are there!

Behind the scenes, you’d occasionally see a photographer posing and directing like Stacy below…

One of the problems, when trying for a wide angle shot like below, you had too many photographers in the way… But that’s okay!

Cuz Jason is more than willing to stand in once everyone moves spots!

Back to those gorgeous blue skies, I loved this one…

And I’ll toss in one SOC (Straight Outta Camera) so that you don’t think it’s all photoshopped.

Did I mention there were a bunch of photographers there? Sometimes they even were in charge of hair, like Jared below.

Which made it easy to snag pics like this…

and another little behind the scenes look at a few of the photographers in attendance, and my light of course!

It wasn’t all work though, there was plenty of footsie playing and leg rubbing going on, but I can’t tell you who was rubbing on Tod’s leg.

Like I said, I did shoot some available light…

And some light that was available to me…

And a little different light that was available was the mini-frezzi video light…

Afterwards, we even did dinner and you’ll have to try and guess who’s fake birthday resulted in a chicken on their head…

Matt & Kendra’s Engagments

Matt & Kendra will be getting married soon, so I wanted to post a few pics from their E-Session at Adriatica. Matt & Kendra are good friends with my family and Matt was even in my wedding. We’ve gone to church together for years and our mom’s are co-presidents of the Kick & Stretch club, not to mention like long lost sisters. They’ll be getting married at my parents house soon, so I’m sure we’ll have more to post in a few months.

Jarrett & Gina’s E-Session

Jarrett & Gina met me in the Arts District of Downtown D for some E-Shots, we just had their wedding last weekend but I am in blog catch up mode still so you may see those in December… seriously though I am catching up! It was great to have one of Jarrett’s friends come up to me at the wedding and say, “so, you liked the Weezer album, huh?” So thanks to the blog stalkers, don’t be afraid to leave a comment, I usually try to reply too! Enough of my babble, you came for the pics…

This was after we got kicked off the JP Morgan Chase sidewalk… we got the shots anyways… what is it with not being able to take a photo anymore?

Jarrett works for Dallas morning news, so we thought this was a must have

I asked Jarrett if he had some ups, and let me tell you he did and this wasn’t his first jump on film!

Again, this doesn’t have a downtown feel but I can find grass almost anywhere…

Chris & Mandy’s E-Session in Downtown McKinney

Chris & Mandy met me in McKinney a few weeks back for an early morning E-Session. Their wedding is coming up soon in Comanche, OK and it wasn’t to long ago that she was a Bridesmaid in Krystle’s wedding. It’s always nice getting friend referrals from past weddings or even better referrals from someone you worked pretty closely with at the wedding like a Bridesmaid. Chris and Mandy were up for anything, even laying in the grass with the wet morning dew without a seconds of hesitation. They were great to work with and I can’t wait for her bridals and then their wedding (and maybe time to hit the Casino for some Poker afterwards). Check out the pics:

Katie & Kyle’s E-Session

Katie & Kyle met me in downtown McKinney for an evening engagement session and because Kyle is a huge film, buff, so we hit it off and Katie works for Starbucks, so she’s my new best friend! She has bribed me with lots of mochas, even though she doesn’t work at a store, she’s like Coffee Security at the headquarters here.

Show me some photos already…

Ok, don’t tell Starbucks that Katie was in this little coffee shop downtown McKinney! Shhh… and drinking coffee….

everybody loves the red brick, but I love this shot…

This little spot is one of my faves, and I have yet to see anyone else use it… maybe cuz you have to go past a few smelly dumpsters!

It was a little chilly, but flare helps…

I love this one of Katie pulling her best model pose in the dry winter grass!

Matt & Christy’s Wedding at First Baptist Church in McKinney, TX

Jeff & Kati’s Engagements in Grapevine

Last week I met Jeff & Kati in Downtown Grapevine for their engagements just as we caught the evening light. Here’s a few from their session and I will get some up from their wedding in the next few days.

E-Session Las Colinas Canals

Jaymes & Lindsay E-Shots

Jaymes and Lindsay are getting married tomorrow at the Botanical Gardens and I have been so busy, I haven’t posted their engagements. So here are a few of my faves and of course, I’ll have some more up from their wedding in the next few days.

We went downtown McKinney to get a little urban feel, they are getting married in the Lower Rose Garden of the Botanical Gardens, so it was a nice change of scenery.

I loved the simple intimacy they had and this shot has to be one of my faves!

I also love the “stalker” shots with the guys just so ever out of focus, I’m kidding, he’s not a stalker…

You can’t forget the sparks these two had… I asked for a kiss and they lit up like the sun.

This ranks up there with one my all time faves as well, I love the reflection in the glass and mirror as they are looking in at the vintage wedding dress and the “look at old things” in the window.
