I’m offering some mini-sessions which are a little lighter and cheaper than a full session, but you still get some awesome pics. What’s a mini-session consist of? A 45 minute portrait session for up to 5 people, all images loaded to an online gallery, 15 of your faves on a disc with a copyright release (personal printing rights) for a $150. Katie & Colby were married at First United Methodist in McKinney a little while back so we took full advantage of downtown McKinney to get that great McK urban feel. After that, we headed over to the Cotton Mill for the reception, which is always a great choice for a party! Here’s a few pics to tide you over, as I pull some reception photos for another post. Thanks guys for a great wedding.

A few weeks back, I shot some photos of the Bentley family including the twins Dirk & LeBron. Ok, it was actually Morgan & Mason and they are super cute and were also fellow Yo Gabba Gabba Live attendees! We met up at a park in Plano and had a great little family session. We had plant tickles, wildlife, the munchies and even a little slip of the tongue…

Like I said, we had a case of the munchies from Miss Morgan!
And we also had one of the funniest cases of the tickles ever!
It wasn’t all fun and games though, we had some hugs and love.
And even some kisses…
but, I don’t think Dad was expecting this… eyes closed and all!

Jeff & Carissa had a great wedding at TPC Craig Ranch a little while back and it quickly became a new fave! Such a gorgeous golf course and venue with so many great spots for photos. The weather was almost perfect… cloud cover the whole time getting ready and during some quick pics before hand, but alas the ceremony began and so did the rain. They didn’t let it affect them at all though, just moved it under the patio and acted like it was supposed to be that way.

Same light, different settings and added light can give you a whole new look. If you are only doing available light… you’re missing out on some great looks!

That’s right! It’s Cans for Comments… For every comment this blog receives between now and December 20th, 2009 we will donate a can of food for each comment to the McKinney Food Pantry. A few weeks back, Jared another photographer here in Dallas lined up some models for a fun little meet-up that he called a “shootout”. What’s a shootout? I didn’t know either, but I knew it sounded like fun, so I was in! So, a dozen or so of us Dallas Photogs got together to shoot a couple that is recently engaged for a dozen or so different points of view. I knew we had a bunch of available light shooters, so while I did shoot some available light, I decided to try and use more light and provide a little different look and hopefully I achieved that. Some of the other photographers in attendance were: Allison Davis, Amy Karp, Andrea Crosswhite, Catie Ronquillo, Celina Gomez, Jared Rey, Jason Huang, Jason Anderson, Magaly Abbott, Stacy Reeves and Stephen Brown if you’d like to see their blog-worthy pics as well. It was a ton of fun and I met some new people, even learned I had a blog stalker, so I guess I need to blog more often and make my one stalker happy! Enough babble, you’re here for the pics!

Now I must mention again, a dozen or so photographers are all shooting pictures at the same time, so imagine the paparazzi shooting an engagement and you are there!

Behind the scenes, you’d occasionally see a photographer posing and directing like Stacy below…
One of the problems, when trying for a wide angle shot like below, you had too many photographers in the way… But that’s okay!
Cuz Jason is more than willing to stand in once everyone moves spots!
Back to those gorgeous blue skies, I loved this one…
And I’ll toss in one SOC (Straight Outta Camera) so that you don’t think it’s all photoshopped.
Did I mention there were a bunch of photographers there? Sometimes they even were in charge of hair, like Jared below.
Which made it easy to snag pics like this…

It wasn’t all work though, there was plenty of footsie playing and leg rubbing going on, but I can’t tell you who was rubbing on Tod’s leg.
Like I said, I did shoot some available light…
And some light that was available to me…
And a little different light that was available was the mini-frezzi video light…
Afterwards, we even did dinner and you’ll have to try and guess who’s fake birthday resulted in a chicken on their head…

Greg & Christen were married a while back and we’re slowly playing catch-up on all the summer weddings. Anyways, they had a great little backyard country wedding out in Celina, but here’s a a few pics from the wedding. Then I’ll try and go back and grab some from the time away from the blog.
Matt & Kendra will be getting married soon, so I wanted to post a few pics from their E-Session at Adriatica. Matt & Kendra are good friends with my family and Matt was even in my wedding. We’ve gone to church together for years and our mom’s are co-presidents of the Kick & Stretch club, not to mention like long lost sisters. They’ll be getting married at my parents house soon, so I’m sure we’ll have more to post in a few months.
Michael & Stacey had a great wedding at St. Ann Catholic in Coppell, TX, which happens to be one of the prettiest and best churches around for weddings. There are so many spots to take pictures in and around the church, with the courtyard and the little garden area, both chapels, etc… Here’s a snap of the church and it’s great copper domes.
Michael and Stacey decided to go with a first look and get their pictures out of the way before the ceremony which always gives you lots of time before hand for tons and tons of pics. So if you decide to go that route, we always like to capture the moment and then give you a minute with your spouse to be. Here’s a couple from that first meet. One from me:
